My 4 night stay was very pleasant in every aspsect. I was pleasantly surprised - the room was bright, very clean, and the shared bathroom facility was never a problem. Breakfast was served through long hours, which was very convenient, whether you started the day early, or lazed around. The location was ideal, being in easy walking access to station, shopping and harbour.

This hotel has a great location, with a main shopping center and the harbor close by. It's situated right in the center of the city and the rail station is within walking distance. the breakfast was tasty and there were some facilities in the room, such as a kettle and sink.
The room cleanliness was not up to par.

I stayed here for 8 nights while helping my adult daughter, who also stayed at the hotel for several nights, move into her apartment located about 15 min. Walk away. Our room was large--especially for European standards-- comfortable and clean. The breakfast was substantial and tasty. The office staff was most helpful and accommodating. The location is very good, being a short walk from the central train and bus stations, as well as a large enclosed shopping center, two out-door shopping areas, and the quay area. I would definitely stay here again.
The internet service is very spotty; definitely in our room, but also in the "public areas". Although it would not have been an issue for me as a solo traveler, my daughter needed a reliable connection in order to conduct business. Hence, she gives the hotel a lower grade.

Clean room with comfortable bed. Good breakfast with fresh food. The staff was friendly and ready to help with any questions.
Noise insulation could be better, as I could sometimes hear sounds from the neighboring rooms. The internet connection was not encrypted, which made me a bit uncomfortable.

The location was superb. Very close to the city center and in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were friendly however it might be categorized in budget hotels. In general I liked it quite much.
The room I was staying had shared bathroom and toilet. Which I would not get next time I travel to Kiel.

There was one really not nice experience - the reception closes at 22:00 and after that there is no one who give keys for a room and no mobile phone is answering. It was just a luck in other hotel what we find by gps that the owner was the same and we get our room in hotel what we booked. So, be careful - if you have late arrival, don't book this place!!!
